Enhanced Ricoh inkjet innovation focuses on streamlined production agility at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023

Flexible production systems respond to challenging economic and operational pressures
The latest Ricoh technology developed to deliver greater short run application flexibility will be showcased at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023 Messe Lucerne, February 27 to March 2.

Among the systems focused on helping production printing businesses manage today’s challenging economic and operational pressures is the Ricoh Pro™ VC70000e continuous feed inkjet press. It will be on show publicly for the first time anywhere in the world.
The Ricoh Pro VC70000e will demonstrate production agility at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023
At the largest global specialist continuous feed event the newest evolution in Ricoh’s award-winning continuous feed portfolio will demonstrate its significant upgrades to hardware, software and workflow. They simplify production, support productivity, enhanced quality, and the migration of production from analogue to digital platforms.
The Ricoh Pro VC70000e’s software advances include production automation tools as well as business intelligence capabilities via the Ricoh Pro Scanner and Ricoh Supervisor™. Ricoh’s Automation Suite’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) benefits simplify operation and provide greater feedback for more effective decision making. Ricoh’s proprietary undercoating technology ensures high quality results and broadens the range of applications that are suitable for inkjet by further improving overall print quality with sharper detail and more vibrant colours. Also, at a time when global shortages are impacting substrate choice, the ability of undercoating to create a standardised print surface ensures outstanding results can be achieved on an even wider range of media. The Pro VC70000e is field upgradeable and interchangeable with existing Pro™ VC70000 models.
Flexible and responsive mono continuous feed inkjet production will be demonstrated by the compact Ricoh Pro™ V20100. It enables commercial printers and book printers to profitably produce applications including pharmaceutical leaflets, transactional print, books, and direct mail.
A virtual showcase will present the transformational possibilities delivered by Ricoh’s forthcoming Pro Z75 B2 sheetfed inkjet press, and samples will be available to view. The future-defining technology incorporates Ricoh’s newest printheads and inks to deliver the advantages of sheetfed with the low running costs, high productivity, image quality, and flexibility of inkjet. It supports hyper relevant short runs and the acceleration of the transition from offset to digital production.
The Ricoh Pro™ C9200 digital press will deliver colour sheetfed productivity alongside impressive operational costs, including first class energy consumption levels. It can flexibly produce customised applications on a wide choice of substrates.
Applications ranging from books, magazines, and direct mail to B2 posters, gift cards and packaging, will highlight the print quality, production versatility, and commercial potential these Ricoh systems deliver.
