SCREEN Develops “Truepress Ink NP” for Truepress Jet520NX

SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd. (SCREEN GA) is currently developing NP inks, a new range of pigment inks specifically for its Truepress Jet520NX high-speed roll-fed inkjet system. SCREEN GA plans to launch the inks in February 2023.

The company will also introduce the inks at this year’s International Graphic Arts Show. IGAS 2022 will be held from November 24 (Thu) to 28 (Mon) at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo.
In recent years, the printing industry has been significantly impacted by sharp rises in the prices of crude oil and other raw materials. These increases have made the reduction of all production-related costs an area of major focus for both printing companies and their clients.
In response to this trend, SCREEN GA has been seeking to expand the applications supported by its range of pigment inks. Many of SCREEN GA’s customers have begun using these inks since the company released its Truepress Jet520NX system in 2016. As well as improvements in print quality, these efforts have led to noticeable reductions in running costs.
The company has also successfully redesigned the delivery package for the inks, switching from conventional plastic tanks to a light and durable bag-in-box format. The change has helped to reduce both the cost and space required for disposal while also decreasing environmental impact.
Additionally, SCREEN GA has developed a new high-speed printing mode for the inks that enables output at up to 180 meters per minute. It has also substantially increased the density of its black pigment ink. The improvement produces a richer, higher quality finish for catalogs and books as well as invoices, forms and other transactional documents.
SCREEN GA is committed to meeting the diverse market needs of the printing industry and plans to develop further solutions that will resolve specific issues experienced by its customers. These efforts are expected to make a significant contribution to the long-term growth of the industry.
