NEC lights up ISE 2020 with the launch of a new laser projector

The PX2000UL projector produces large-format images and offers 3-DLP-like performance for the price of a single-DLP projector.

NEC Display Solutions Europe unveils its new PX2000UL laser projector at ISE 2020. The PX2000UL is the first NEC projector to use mono-DLP laser technology at a brightness level of 20,000 lumens and offers outstanding performance.

With a brightness level of 20,000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, the PX2000UL is a cost-effective projection solution designed for display applications in retail, education, transportation, museums and amusement parks. The projector also features a dust-proof optical system to ensure excellent colour reproduction.

The use of an additional red laser enables the PX2000UL to produce more vivid colors than those obtained with other mono-DLP projectors.

Operating without a filter and incorporating a liquid cooling system, the PX2000UL also features a quiet fan (43/45 dB) and weighs only 54 kg, making it easy to handle and operate.

Starting in June 2020, the PX2000UL will be supported by ProAssist, an application that makes installation faster and easier. This tool supports installations with multiple networked projectors and offers comprehensive professional features such as lens and geometry adjustment, image fusion, colour uniformity and white level adjustment.

Gerd Kaiser, Product Manager responsible for large installations and digital cinema projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe, said: "Many companies struggle to achieve clear images and bright colours in dusty indoor spaces exposed to ambient light. This is why we are pleased to launch the PX2000UL projector which uses the latest laser technology to produce the most realistic images and richest colours at unprecedented levels of brightness. In addition, it is easier to handle, requires less maintenance and costs less than other projectors in its class.

The NEC PX2000UL laser projector will be available in March.
