POS on Cloud Certified Epson's OmniLink-i and Two Tablet POS Printers for Its Cloud-Based POS Applications

The Integrated Cloud-Based Solution Lowers Cost and Delivers Powerful Scalability and Flexibility for Customers' In-Store Systems Designs

Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, today announced that POS on Cloud, a provider of cloud-based POS software-as-a-service (SaaS), has certified one OmniLink-i smart printer and two other Epson printers for its retail and hospitality clients. The company chose Epson's OmniLink™ TM-T88V-i smart printer for its built-in web server, print server and device management capabilities and added the TM-T20II USB tablet POS receipt printer and the TM-U220B tablet POS Ethernet kitchen printer for additional functionality. The solution is available from POS on Cloud today.

"As the leader in delivering the next-generation of POS applications, POS on Cloud is uniquely qualified to integrate our solutions to best serve customer needs," said Tom Kettell, senior manager of North American Sales for Epson's Business Systems Division. "Our OmniLink TM-T88V-i smart printer, paired with POS on Cloud's solutions, gives hotels and restaurants a powerful, expandable solution for mobile and online ordering that accelerates order processing and delivery and drives sales. POS on Cloud's platform also meets the retailers increasing need to scale data storage and yet be kept secure at all times."

"Our POS solution is 100% cloud based and delivered via a web browser," said Kevin Medina, CTO of POS on Cloud. "When working with tablets, we had some unique challenges to deliver the level of printing capabilities that our clients expect. We leveraged the tablet POS technology and OmniLink-i printer of our valued partner, Epson, and were able to successfully integrate our tablet systems to enjoy the same level of printing that a native IOS or Android application has. We have developed a number of proprietary solutions that work seamlessly with Epson printers for our full register configurations."

As the Epson OmniLink-series are platform-independent, they can be easily integrated with POS on Cloud's offerings, allowing restaurants, hotel kitchens, retailers etc. to accept mobile and online orders and payments directly from guests, which allows them to prepare orders more quickly, more accurately and more efficiently than ever before.

"Epson's OmniLink TM-T88V-i browser-based design provides our retail clients with extreme flexibility in the overall design of their in-store systems," added Medina. "The built-in web server is especially important to us since we pride ourselves on providing reliable, secure solutions. Epson is a perfect fit for us."
