Finishing systems for digitally printed surfaces

At LIGNA, Teknos presents a number of finishing systems for the special requirements of digitally printed surfaces, including a solution for myTexture, a new digital embossing technology to produce nature-like wood or stone surfaces with textures.

Digitally printed surfaces require a primer adjusted to the ink and a protective lacquer suitable for the surface. Teknos has addressed the requirements of digitally printed surfaces long since and offers a comprehensive line-up of primers, sealers and protective lacquers for fast, low-VOC processes. At LIGNA, the paint manufacturer presents sample solutions for digitally printed furniture and flooring surfaces. The sample build-up for high-gloss furniture finishes includes a UV-curing Uvilux primer that ensures perfect adhesion both on the substrate and on the printed ink. After digital printing, a Uvilux sealer and the protective lacquer Uvilux 651-160 give a deeply brilliant high-gloss surface in unique quality. The sample build-up for digitally printed flooring includes a UV water-borne primer, one layer of Uvilux Sealer 661-199 both before and after digital printing for high abrasion resistance, and a final layer of the protective lacquer Uvilux 651-110. In addition to the sample build-ups, there is a large number of further options including special solutions for anti-fingerprint finishes or colourless effect soft touch lacquers. Teknos also presents finishing solutions for the latest technologies producing digitally embossed 3D surfaces. The company has co-operated in the development of myTexture, an innovative technology of the Italian ink manufacturer Zeetree. The technology can be used to digitally produce nature-like wood or stone surfaces with textures. The sample build-ups for furniture and HDF flooring Teknos shows in Hanover ensure best scratch and abrasion resistance and high adhesion when using this technique with the Teknos UV lacquer.
