C&T Matrix is delighted to announce exciting new developments to its established Channel Original Matrix brand. The 2104 enhancements will make Channel Original even easier to apply and improve its performance with enhanced bonding.
C&T Matrix is a world renowned manufacturer and supplier of specialist creasing matrix products and accessories to the print and packaging industries. It has been making Channel Original Matrix at its Northamptonshire site for over 30 years and it is one of the world's most respected and widely used creasing matrix brands available today.
Channel Original is a steel based matrix, mainly used on cylinder machines and hand platens. It is a self-locating creasing matrix that is extremely durable.
From February, Channel Original will be made with 'fingerlift tape' across the entire range, replacing the flush edge tape. This makes the use of the matrix at make-ready stage even easier and quicker. Operators are able to remove the backing paper effortlessly once the creasing matrix is located on the creasing rule.
The new enhancements also see a move from straight to staggered perforations – the plastics shoulders of the matrix are held to the metal base by micro perforations. Staggered perforation increases the mechanical bond strength between the shoulders and the metal base preventing movement and ensuring accurate registration every time.
