Fine Print selects a fine machine – the Polar 78 N Plus

Fine Print (Stockport) is upgrading its Polar guillotine. Later this month it will take delivery of a Polar 78N Plus guillotine which will take its cutting capability to a new level.

"We have had our existing Polar for 15 years and we like the reliability and retained value of this brand," says director Lee Tilley. "The N Plus should be quicker all round and the knife change will be easier and safer. The operators will certainly like the touch screen capability and easier programmability."

The Stockport company will use the Polar 78 N Plus to handle general commercial work, primarily magazines, brochures and full colour work. It is an ideal model for this B2 printer who felt that the larger 92 with its SRA1 cutting capacity would have been overkill.

Already this year the company has added a laminator, upgraded its workflow and Tharstern MIS system and put in a Ricoh 751 digital press.

Currently the company has a mix of single and double day shifts but it hopes to run double days throughout the week as business grows.
