German based KAMA to launch tool-free stripping and blanking unit
Stripping without tools: KAMA GmbH of Dresden is launching an innovative device for stripping blanks from die-cut sheets. Vital edge: the newly developed KAMA SBU Stripping & Blanking Unit works without any job-specific stripping tools. The blanks, for example for folded boxes, are stripped and separated by programmable rollers. This cuts costs and speeds up production.
The new solution is perfectly suited to handle small and medium runs – in commercial printing or in the packaging sector. The mobile SBU consists of a transport belt which runs on casters, an air blast station, tool-free stripping unit, spreader and a delivery belt for stream-feeding the processed blanks. In the in-line workflow solution with a ProCut die cutter, the mobile Stripping & Blanking Unit docks directly to its delivery unit.
For Euroslot hangers, peepholes, folded cards, blanks ...
After the cutting and creasing stage, the sheets run directly into the SBU. Adjustable rollers neatly strip all scrap off the die-cut sheets, separate the blanks and let the scrap drop down into a waste bin. Prior to this material from small cut-outs such as windows and Euroslot holes has been removed in an air blast station. The separated blanks are spread out before they reach the delivery belt, so that multiple shingle streams can be provided side by side in the delivery unit.
In-line solution from printed sheets to separated blanks
Together with the new SBU, the KAMA DC and ProCut 76 die cutters cover the entire workflow from the printed sheet to the creased, embossed, die-cut and neatly separated single blank. Even small cut-outs, such as Euroslot holes, are reliably removed from the blanks. When you want to set up your die-cutter for the next job, you can simply roll the mobile SBU out of the delivery unit and change the chase and platen as usual from the delivery side of the machine. Jobs without blank separation are delivered onto stack trolleys as normal.
The mobile KAMA SBU stripping and blanking unit comes for sheet sizes of 530x400 mm and 760x600 mm, it is easy to use, can be set up in a jiffy, and is available from now.
