Weightron, a Southern Africa provider of labelling services and industrial weighing equipment has invested in two ECOLINE machines. Purchased from ROTOCON was an RSI 340 slitter rewinder and an RFP 340 8-colour LED flexo press.
The cost-efficient ECOLINE RSI 340 slitter rewinder is a fully servo-driven machine featuring three servo motors, an output of 300m/min, an easy-to-use control panel, and an open machine design. The ROTOCON service team successfully installed the RSI at Weightron’s manufacturing facility in Johannesburg at the end of November, and it has since been in full production for film finishing.

The ECOLINE RFP 340 8-colour LED flexo press uses the latest Yaskawa servo drive and control system. Each printing unit is driven by a separate servo motor—14 in total. The printing units are designed for optimal ink transfer and pressure adjustment
to guarantee crisp printing in high line counts, text, linework, solids, adhesives
and varnishes.
The LED-UV curing system ensures an improved energy footprint across the short
web path, and the impression cylinder is equipped with a water chiller system so that
the filmic material won’t be affected by the UV curing temperatures during printing.
Installation of the ECOLINE RFP flexo press will be provided by the ROTOCON service team shortly.
