American Greetings Corporation (AGC) – one of the largest distributors of greeting cards in the United States – again has chosen Buhrs. Two Buhrs 3000 Compact foil packaging systems will be installed at the Ripley, Tennessee site this year. The third Buhrs 3000 will follow in early 2025. The fact that AGC and Buhrs have been partners for many years is evident from joint product innovations to make the packaging process even more efficient.
Sets of greeting cards and envelopes are collected at high speed on the new Buhrs systems. This is done with the Batch Count Feeders developed by AGC themselves, integrated in collaboration with Buhrs. The sets are then packed in stretch foil. This results in a tight, well-sealed packaging with an attractive appearance.
