The Flattering Ways to Lay-Flat Photobooks

APS Imaging now offers two incredibly advanced book binding systems designed to not only help you create stunning high-quality lay-flat photobooks but also increase production speed that's sure to yield higher profits. The unbelievably nimble LF 2000 All-In Max, introduced at the 2022 Printing United convention, and the versatile TP 450 VS A that handles special media types are both ready to be a part of your growing business.

V SPINE TECHNIQUE
The TP 450 VS A is a vendor's dream in fulfilling quality lay-flat books due to its characteristics in handling different composites of paper and its V Shape spine production process.
Paper that are highly textural, metallic, or have high luster properties, often problematic for other machines, can be fed into the TP 450 VS A without issues. This machine utilizes a "slip and strip" method that tapes the spine together which not only strenghthens the pages but also adds flexibility for that high-quality look and feel.
To create and maintain that lay-flat stance and appearance with each turn of the page the TP 450 VS A binds pages together with a "V Spine" technique. The machine automatically adjusts the slitting of each page to naturally produce a V shaped spine, enabling the book to open smoothly beyond 180 degrees. The method results in stunning pages that sit nicely flat from page to page without resistance from the spine.
The TP 450 VS A can process 450 sheets per hour and accommodates sheet sizes up to 19" x 19".
LF2000 ALL-IN MAX REDEFINING LAY-FLAT AUTOMATION
The LF 2000 All-In Max combines versatility and speed in its automated block production process. With one machine, you can produce back-to-back and cardboard inserted book blocks to produce luxury-quality lay-flat photobooks.
Each step, including feeding, creasing, folding, gluing, spinning, pressing, and book block assembly are inclusive and handled with utmost precision. The LF 2000 All-In Max requires minimal manual operation making book production efficient and cost effective with a run rate of up to 2,000 (A3) sheets per hour for back-to-back results and 1,000 (A3) pages per hour with cardboard inserts.
For maximum media flexibility the system accepts sheet thickness from 0.15 mm - 0.3 mm and cardboard inserts thickness from 0.35 mm - 1.00 mm.
