Albert Paper Products was founded 75 years ago in northern New Jersey. Based on their longevity and success, they know how to meet the demands and expectations of the paper and packaging industry. Consistency is a hallmark of their work, so when company president Rich Kenah had to replace an aging, 61-inch Polar paper cutter last month, he did so with a same-size reconditioned Polar with a Microcut® Plus electronics package from nearby Colter & Peterson.

Slade Print continues reinventing itself with new PRISM paper cutter investment

Tom Slade expects a decision made nearly a year ago will have positive ramifications for many years. Last April after 25 years, family owned and operated Slade Print in Evansville, Indiana began reinventing and reinvesting in new technologies, industries and equipment. They have since purchased a local label company to go with a profitable sign business and created a digital division. Slade says installation in January of a new, 31-inch Colter & Peterson PRISM® paper cutter with Microcut® is doing an amazing job of supporting his digital business.

Tecnau cutting line eases the path from printed rolls to finished photo calendars

CEWE, Europe’s leading photo printer and provider of innovative online services, is on course for further growth with customized photo books, calendars, canvas prints, and numerous other photo products and digital items, which consumers can order using the company’s Internet platforms and apps. Early in October 2018, an automatic Tecnau cutting line for processing products printed digitally on rolls went into operation in the production shop at the head offices of CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA in Oldenburg, Germany. The Tecnau line consists of an Unwinder 550 and a Cutter TC 7000 TS1 as well as a Stacker TC 1220 and a conveyor. Designed for web widths of up to 320 mm, this new cutting line is used to produce photo calendars. Calendar pages in A3 portrait, A4 portrait or A4 landscape format are cut to size with a precise full bleed, assembled into calendars, offset-stacked and finally delivered.
