Uncompromising labelling, sustainable labelling: Bizerba at FachPack 2019

Under the motto "An eye on the future, an awareness of nature", Bizerba will be demonstrating at two stands at this year's FachPack in Nuremberg how modern packaging and labelling technologies enable sustainable processes for industry and trade. From 24 to 26 September, the main stand 453 in Hall 1 will focus on intelligent labelling and inspection systems as well as filling systems and terminals, while visitors to stand 517 in Hall 9 will be able to find out more about Bizerba's comprehensive label portfolio.

Modern inspection systems ensure greater consumer safety and reduce the amount of rejects through sophisticated control mechanisms. The LabelSecure S vision inspection system from Bizerba offers a comprehensive range of services. For example, it inspects labels on the top and bottom of the goods for content, position and intactness, thus avoiding unnecessary complaints or product recalls due to incorrect labelling or the use of incorrect labels.
Excellent results
Filling and weighing of liquids without compromise: In this area Bizerba presents the semi-automatic professional filling system FSL-PRO M. The system was specially developed for production processes in which safe filling and gram-accurate weighing of flammable, foaming or corrosive liquids as well as gentle dosing are particularly important. The semi-automatic machine reliably fills palletized containers and achieves exact weighing results with a multi-interval scale - even in high measuring ranges. The optional additive tare enables the FSL-PRO M to fill all containers with a constant small division from the first to the last vessel, so that overfilling and underfilling can be noticeably reduced. When used with a double scale, the filling process is significantly accelerated while maintaining the same precision and quality. Products can be filled and weighed on one scale and sealed and transported on the other scale in parallel. The FSL-PRO M is also available as an Ex model for zones 1 and 2, which, like all Ex models from Bizerba, complies with the ATEX guidelines.
A further exhibit at the main Bizerba stand is the dynamic CWHmaxx checkweigher, which was specially developed for high requirements in the food industry and convinces with the quality of the materials used, open structures and hygienic design. The GLM-Ievo award line will also be on display. The various versions of the device are designed for the automatic weighing and labelling of pre-packaged goods and can be optimally configured for a wide range of products and performance requirements in the food sector thanks to their modular design. The iS75 industrial terminal, on the other hand, is the switch and control centre for use in a wide variety of production conditions and can be easily combined with other Bizerba solutions. The network-compatible high-end solution convinces with its multifunctionality, counts, controls and records data and reliably controls production.
Sustainable labelling
Visitors to the second Bizerba stand in Hall 9, Stand 517, can convince themselves of the innovations in the field of labels. Whether electronic article surveillance via RF tags, films with thermoreactive surfaces or environmentally friendly label material - there is a suitable solution for every need. Those who want to label their products sustainably can do so with the environmentally friendly label solution from Bizerba. The bio-foil labels are made from sugar cane granulate, which reduces oil consumption compared to conventional materials. The biofilm offers excellent results because it can be processed and printed like a conventional PE film and adheres firmly to the packaging surface even under mechanical stress.
A special focus at the Bizerba stand this year will also be on the new plug-in labels, which were specially developed for the GLM-Ievo price labeler and which reduce set-up times and avoid costly mislabelling. The labels contain a code on their backing paper in which the label specifications and SAP numbers as well as the device-dependent machine parameters are stored. This two-dimensional barcode uniquely identifies the label, guarantees its authenticity and enables the device to pull the PLU data associated with the product and automatically configure parameters such as imprint areas and printing speed. PLU data can also be reliably assigned to the correct label.
