craftLABEL by Vollherbst tells unique stories about brands

With craftLABEL, Vollherbst offers for the first time the possibility of depicting characteristic elements of product production and brand in the label. Origin, method of production and composition: Authenticity and the story behind the product are becoming increasingly important when it comes to the decision to buy.

The more emotional the product packaging, the better the positioning of the brand and the higher the attractiveness. This is especially true for beverages such as wine and spirits as well as food. Using a specially developed process, Vollherbst incorporates materials or flavours into the label: Stone from the vineyard, special botanicals of a gin or sand from the African savannah. Craft and handmade products, organic and premium products are made even more authentic by craftLABEL and are made more emotionally valuable by their individual history.
craftLABEL: The Story of Origin
The idea behind craftLABEL was born from the close observation of consumer trends and needs: Digitalisation, internationalisation and online shopping are trends that at the same time arouse opposing needs. Consumers want to buy regionally. Products they trust and can identify with. Successful marketing is always in the foreground at Vollherbst: craftLABEL is storytelling. The visible, tangible and perceptible story on the label gives the product authenticity and depth. The product becomes a brand through the label.
A piece of home and identity
The first craftLABEL was created at the Vollherbst company headquarters in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. "We are strongly rooted with our homeland. The region is known for its wines, most of which grow on loess soil," says Matthias Vollherbst, owner of the company. "Everyone here knows this enormously fine soil type, the feel, the smell and the colour. Especially for high-quality wines, spirits and food, the origin plays a decisive role. A label into which the loess soil is worked is the perfect brand story for a wine from our region. In the craftLABEL these elements find their way to the consumer".
Every craftLABEL is special, every label unique and every craft material behaves differently. In craftLABEL there is handcraft. In several tests the best mixing ratio is determined so that the ingredients are visible and perceptible to the consumer. The production of craftLABEL has been developed by Vollherbst on the basis of conventional printing methods, so that a large edition reproduction is possible. craftLABEL can be combined with almost all types of paper and colours.
Windspiel Gin special edition for Apropos
What is special about a brand? The label must answer this question.
Windspiel produces high-quality gins and spirits. Concept stores for luxury and lifestyle have been created under the Apropos brand in Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and Düsseldorf. Here a special edition of Windspiel Gins is sold, which is only available exclusively in these concept stores.
Vollherbst has developed a craftLABEL for this, which symbolises the stores and uniqueness: The craftLABEL contains bronze dust, which reflects the exclusivity of the gin and the luxury and lifestyle stores. The different distribution of the particles makes each label unique. This gin in this look is only available at this location.
Weingut Karl Veit: Minerality of the wine in the label
The character of the wines from the Karl Veit winery on the Moselle is particularly mineral. The steep vineyards on the banks of the river are known for their special slate soils, which are responsible for this minerality. Because of this history and special character of the wine, Vollherbst and the Karl Veit Winery have developed a craftLABEL. Visually, the label depicts the characteristic vineyards. The slate from Karl Veit's parcels is processed at Vollherbst and broken down into the smallest particles so that it blends perfectly with the varnish required for craftLABEL. The varnish is then applied to the paper using state-of-the-art technology and equipment. In this way the customers take home a piece of the vineyard and thus of the origin of the wine.
