GIZEH Verpackungen has received the "Heroes in the Crisis" award from the Institute of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for its commitment in the Corona crisis.
With this award, the F.A.Z.-Institute honours the performance of the company and its employees in coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. "Commitment and responsibility are among our core values as a family business," said Managing Director and shareholder Ralf Jung. "We are pleased if we were able to make a difference with this."
The GIZEH Packaging Group was very quick to establish a functioning COVID management concept based on the findings of the RKI and the WHO. Thanks to its implementation and the special commitment of each individual employee, all the Group's locations in Germany and abroad were able to work corona-free. The GIZEH Group produces packaging for food and hygiene products, which were urgently needed, especially at the beginning of the crisis. In addition, the Group has supported local health and aid organisations at all its sites with donations of money and goods.
The award was based on a study conducted by the F.A.Z. Institute together with the Institute for Management and Economic Research IMWF. GIZEH Verpackungen is one of around 1,000 "heroes in the crisis". This number is representative of many others and shows the great social commitment in the Corona crisis in Germany.
The awards were given to contributions from companies, non-profit organisations or private individuals - from the production of large quantities of disinfectants for hospitals to special care services for the elderly and the establishment of internet platforms for neighbourhood help. The list of "heroes in the crisis" was published in a special supplement of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
