Schneider Electric service plans identify risks and create resilience

- New EcoStruxure service plans offer tailored service packages to increase resilience

- Enhanced packages reduce maintenance costs by up to 40 per cent and electrical component failure risks by up to 75 per cent
- Predictive analytics strengthen Schneider's traditional services and increase safety for electrical equipment and systems

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today introduced EcoStruxure service plans, a new service for its customers. They combine traditional maintenance and services with powerful digital services, are tailored to specific customer goals and improve the performance of electrical components and systems.
Worry-free future for continuous business
60 percent of companies are currently preparing for the future and starting the digital transformation. A central role here is played by the digitalisation of the electrical infrastructure with the aim of expanding daily uptime and minimising risks - for example, fires. They are one of the greatest hazards in electrical facilities and 56 percent are due to a lack of maintenance. There are also challenges to overcome in terms of staffing structure. For example, there is often a lack of expertise to carry out remote maintenance. But other skills shortages or the loss of know-how due to the retirement of qualified employees also complicate maintenance tasks and can be a problem for companies.
Schneider Electric's new EcoStruxure service plans counteract this. A single contract offers a combination of on-site services, digital services and consulting that is customised for the customer. An end-to-end customer service experience is a top priority for the tech company, so customers can end up choosing the exact specific EcoStruxure service plan that best fits their operational challenges.
"Many of our customers are focused on regaining the business strength they had before the crisis," says Frederic Godemel, EVP of Power Systems & Services at Schneider Electric. "That's why we developed our new EcoStruxure service plans: So that we can guide them on their individual journey to improve their business resilience. With an ideal combination of traditional on-site services and powerful new digital services based on IoT technologies, we offer effective recipes for total peace of mind. As with good insurance cover, our customers can focus on their core business knowing that the condition of their electrical assets and the quality of their power supply are under expert care."
The right contracts to track strategy
With EcoStruxure service plans, Schneider continues its ongoing commitment to supporting its customers towards future-proofing. Beyond traditional on-site services, it is an IoT-enabled bundle of expert support where data, analytics, software and expertise lead to significant improvements in asset management, plant safety and security of supply, operational efficiency and sustainability. Customers also benefit from the energy specialist's vast in-house knowledge, local expertise and extensive global partner network. And whether on-site or via the cloud, the new EcoStruxure service plans help optimise business continuity and energy management.
Powered by software, analytics and digital devices.
EcoStruxure service plans are based on networked components, for example using digital devices from the automation expert. The company continues to pursue its digital philosophy, retrofitting existing plants and equipping its components with the latest sensor technologies for this purpose. These form the basis for condition-based maintenance through analytics, as offered by Schneider Electric's robust EcoStruxure architecture and platform.
