Paschalas olive oil design by Chris Trivizas

The Greek design studio merges traditional and contemporary styles to deliver a branding and packaging suit that celebrates the brand’s process and premium quality.

The Paschalas Olive Oil company specialises in the cultivation of olive trees and the creation of premium extra virgin olive oil from the area of Gomati, in Halkidiki, Greece.

Branding, logo and packaging design, executed by Chris Trivizas, encapsulates the brand’s premium quality and production process while delivering a contemporary feel that stands out within the Olive Oil category.

A deep green colour evoking the natural rich pigment of the Greek Olives adorns the unusual bottle. Its curved edges and matte finish, more akin to premium skin-care products, creates a sense of luxury as well as standing out among other brands within the market.

A brown paper label wraps around the bottle neck, produced by Perrakis Papers, adds texture. The bottle is stored within a woven sack or natural wood box providing a traditional, premium feel, contrasting against the modern style of the bottle.

The company logo takes inspiration from “the comb”, a tool used in the harvesting of the olives, reflecting the process and indicating the personal, hands-on care taken in the production of the oil. The comb shape also resembles that of a crow, thus also symbolizing the exceptional quality of the finished product. This is further enhanced with the use of gold for both logo and copy, which also embodies a double meaning, as it alludes to the colour of the olive oil.
