How the packaging industry can contribute to global climate goals, reduce environmental impacts and offer sustainable resources and manufacturing processes are questions that now occupy every exhibitor and visitor at FACHPACK in one way or another.
That's why "environmentally compatible packaging" is once again the leading theme of the trade fair for packaging, technology and processes in Nuremberg this year. Since the last event, there has been a significant surge in development in the field of sustainability, which will be comprehensively presented by the exhibition participants.
The leading theme enables companies from the packaging industry to present their innovations, best-practice solutions and new approaches to environmentally friendly packaging solutions at the fair and to discuss them with their customers: on the stands, in lecture forums at PACKBOX, TECHBOX and INNOVATIONSBOX, at special shows and at awards ceremonies. There, visitors will learn all about recycled packaging, resource-saving materials, reusable packaging and systems and new environmentally friendly processes.
In the special show "Sustainable Packaging", for example, NürnbergMesse and bayern design present ideas in Hall 7 that show how sustainability already begins in packaging design. It goes without saying that sustainability is also a decisive criterion in the presentation of the German Packaging Award 2021.
