Obility with its own stand at drupa 2020

In 2020 Obility will be present for the first time with its own stand at drupa (16 - 26 June in Düsseldorf). With this, the Koblenz-based software house is responding to the increasing importance of the Obility e-business print platform in the German-speaking print and media market. At the last three drupa trade fairs, Obility participated in the drupa innovation park (dip) in Hall 7. In 2020, the company is continuing this "tradition" in that it will once again be located with its own stand in Hall 7a (Stand B43) in an area of the drupa that is known by visitors to the trade fair for its particular density of innovations.

"For more than 15 years, Obility has been giving new impetus to the print and media industry with its innovations and its holistic view of e-business.
We are currently gaining many new customers, especially with our ERP2 system PRINTMANAGER, who want to overcome the limitations of their previous MIS systems. In particular our function, unique in the market, that sales and order preparation can automatically calculate print jobs and determine the optimum production routes, opens doors for us to print service providers of all sizes. It revolutionizes quotation costing and job preparation by significantly increasing efficiency," explains Obility Managing Director Frank Siegel.
"By drupa 2020, we will have brought a number of other important innovations to market," promises Siegel. "This includes a newly developed production planning system with planning board and integrated production data acquisition." In combination with the functionality of the Obility platform, it will give print shop dispatchers unique opportunities to plan production cost-effectively and reliably, taking all important production parameters into account. The results of production planning are transparently displayed on large screens in the form of autonomous planning board views.
Obility's drupa innovations also include the new warehouse and material flow control system - which supports platform-independent mobile recording devices - and the latest version of the Web-to-Print Designer Pro. This online editor can either be integrated into online shops based on Obility or used as an API version in external systems. It provides a wide range of functions, some of them unique, for both B2C and B2B applications.
According to Siegel, the market is increasingly recognizing that the future belongs to flexible, web-based, automated and networked processes in the world of print and media. "This will also be reflected at drupa 2020. As a provider of what is probably the most comprehensive German-language e-business print platform for practically all operational requirements for process-optimized handling of print jobs, we offer our customers and interested parties in Düsseldorf an attractive environment with our own exhibition stand for in-depth technical discussions about their future orientation. Last but not least, we will help interested parties with attractive trade fair offers to avoid postponing the decision to digitalize their processes any further into the future.
In the area of online services, too, the number of print service providers in German-speaking countries that rely on the Obility e-business print platform is growing steadily. With the PRINTSELLER and PRINTMAKER software modules, print service providers can flexibly set up web-to-print shops and B2B portals and thus optimize their customers' ordering and design processes. The software then controls the orders automatically, rule-based and resource-optimized through the production processes - from incoming orders to production, all operational processes and logistics handling.
For example, retail and wholesale chains, industrial companies, logistics service providers, building societies, insurance companies or public authorities handle all or part of their print purchasing via portals based on Obility. Here, hundreds or even thousands of print jobs are produced automatically, sometimes every day. Many of the e-business print solutions are seamlessly integrated with the companies' ERP systems via the open interfaces of the Obility platform. Print service providers benefit from maximum efficiency, shortest job turnaround times and minimized costs. In short: they have their processes future-proofed.
