Variable Data Printing with the VDP Software "AccurioPro Variable Data" from Konica Minolta

Konica Minolta has introduced AccurioPro Variable Data, a new professional VDP (Variable Data Printing) software for printing and publishing variable data. The software sets new standards for one-to-one marketing.

Accurio Pro Variable Data is a powerful variable data plug-in for Adobe InDesign®. It enables seamless integration and easy addition of variable elements to any InDesign document to create a variety of unique file and VDP formats.
The software is fully supported by all Konica Minolta systems and other digital presses; it can merge text, images, multi-line articles or full-page information from various sources.
AccurioPro Variable Data supports many advanced design features such as curved lettering, text wrapping, drop shadows and transparency effects. The software is fully menu-driven. Unlike other VDP software products, users do not need to learn a programming language.
Additional modules:
CopyFit™: an extended, instant copy function for texts that do not fit into the intended area due to their length
Control module: Using rules (if/then/else), certain actions can be performed according to the contents of one or more database fields
Imposition: Allows easy creation of multiple layouts and full support for cut & stack output and imposition templates
Bar Coding: Supports variable linear and 2D barcodes
Automation: Can be used with Enfocus Switch and other products to create fully automated variable data workflows
Konica Minolta offers AccurioPro Variable Data in two versions: Essential or Premium. The Essential package is an inexpensive, solid tool set that can handle an unlimited number of database records. It contains the CopyFit™, Rules and Imposition modules and can generate multi-page variable output in PDF or PDF/VT format. The Premium version offers all the features of the Essential version, but also improved output performance and other advanced features, including master page replacement, embedded variables and style tags, and support for additional VDP output formats.
Patrick Peemöller, Product Manager Production Printing at Konica Minolta, explains: "With the introduction of AccurioPro Variable Data, Konica Minolta has set a new benchmark for price/performance in VDP software. The power and flexibility of AccurioPro Variable Data is impressive: no other software package on the market offers so much power with such an intuitive, menu-driven user interface. Its rich feature set, ease of use and direct integration with Adobe InDesign will make AccurioPro Variable Data the new VDP standard".
