Since January, the Dolomites magazine has been produced with NGen from multicom. The magazine, which is always published on Fridays as a supplement in the Dolomiten-Tagblatt with a circulation of 61,000 copies, belongs to the Athesia Group in South Tyrol. This group already produces numerous other products from its portfolio with NGen.
The Athesia Group from Bolzano in South Tyrol has been producing its Dolomites magazine with NGen from multicom since January. In addition to the daily newspaper "Dolomiten", the Dolomiten Marktblatt "Markt", the Wirtschaftskurier "Wiku" and the Sunday newspaper "Z", another printing unit from the company's product portfolio is thus produced with NGen. The magazine, which has been in existence since 1985, deals mainly with leisure topics and is published every Friday as a supplement in the Dolomites daily newspaper with a circulation of 61,000 copies. Since the beginning of the year it has been produced with the modules NGenRedaktion and NGenProduktion, replacing the previous production in InDesign.
More efficient production with integrated workflows
Athesia has been using NGen for her publications since 2008. Above all, the company sees a decisive advantage in uninterrupted production across the various system components. "NGen is the solution with which the publishing house and editorial staff can map the entire production with one software and continuous workflows", says Dieter Fink, technical director of the Dolomiten editorial staff. "The integration of planning, advertising and editorial systems has proven itself in daily practice and offers us the opportunity to produce more efficiently.
