C3 – ERP/MIS for the packaging industry, climate protection included

theurer.com presents a new climate protection interface for its MIS-software C3 for the packaging industry. Packaging producers will be able to show the CO²-emmissions caused during the production and can offer their customers the possibility to neutralize them via climate protection projects with ClimatePartner. The packaging then becomes climate-neutral – easy as that.

Nowadays, many retail chains preferably list climate neutral products and also offer their own brands climate neutral. Furthermore, the consumers become more and more sensitized for climate protection. Climate neutral are per definition companies, processes and products which Co2-Emissions are calculated and later on balanced out through the support of internationally accepted climate protection projects.
A pragmatic option for producers of consumer goods is the climate neutral packaging. In the majority of cases, a significant amount of the CO2-Emissions is effectively found in the packaging – due to production processes, raw materials, printing processes, transport etc.
Through the ERP/MIS-Software C3 from theurer.com, packaging manufacturers can automatically track emissions and specifically show their customers these in the offer. Enabled by the cooperation between theurer.com and ClimatePartner the packaging manufacturer can directly offer a selection of climate protection projects, through which the customer can balance out the accruing emissions. Thus, receiving his products climate neutral. This enables the customer to be allowed to affix the ClimatePartner-Label “climate neutral Packaging” which is verified by TÜV Austria and recommended by the BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
The compensation of CO2-Emissions is next to the prevention and reduction a further important step towards a holistic climate protection.
