The e-business print pioneer expects intensive technical discussions with customers and prospects on all aspects of digitisation and automation of print production
Koblenz-based software house Obility today confirmed its participation in Drupa 2021 (20 - 28 April in Düsseldorf). "At the beginning of 2020 we had announced that we would be represented at the next Drupa for the first time with our own stand, where we would present the unique capabilities of our e-business print platform. We are sticking to this," explains Obility managing director Frank Siegel. "Ultimately, Germany is the cradle of the printing industry, which continues to play a special role here. Drupa, the world's leading trade fair for the print media industry, has been providing orientation for the industry since 1951. Traditionally, many companies in Düsseldorf set the course for their future and make important investment decisions. We look forward to many in-depth specialist discussions with customers and prospects from German-speaking countries on the latest industry demands at Drupa 2021.
From Obility's perspective there is no way around digitisation and automation of print production processes. The company is one of the pioneers in the field of e-business print and has played a major role in shaping developments in this market over the past 15 years in the course of many projects with demanding customers. Says Siegel: "The Obility platform could easily be used in other industries as well. But our company is fully committed to the print and media industry. Although we now successfully utilise other communication channels with our customers, such as online seminars, participation in Drupa 2021 is mandatory for us. In our view, digital media can only replace personal discussions with customers - and especially with potential new customers - to a limited extent.
In Düsseldorf Obility will showcase its latest innovations for further enhancing process efficiency in print production. In addition, visitors will be able to explore the company's tried-and-tested solutions. These include the smart MIS and print ERP system PRINTMANAGER for the automatic calculation of print jobs, the new browser application for warehouse and material flow control with mobile communication terminals, and the web-to-print tool Designer Pro, which was developed entirely in-house and offers previously unknown options for the online design and online editing of print products. Finally, customers will have their say on how the comprehensive functionality of the Obility e-business print platform has enabled them to tap into new business fields and secure the future of their companies.
