Today at Labelexpo Europe, Brussels, Fujifilm launches LuXtreme, a new LED UV curing system that allows any traditional flexographic press to be converted to LED UV curing, resulting in enhanced label production on a narrow web press.

LuXtreme offers high speeds of up to 200m/min, along with better substrate stability, resulting in enhanced productivity for printers. Additionally, the system offers 30-50% higher radiant intensity than competitive LED curing systems, up to 25W/cm².

French book printer achieves improved quality and improved sustainability with Asahi water-wash flexographic plates
Asahi Photoproducts, a pioneer in flexographic photopolymer plate development, today reported that French book printer Imprimerie Floch is using its certified Carbon Neutral AWPTM CleanPrint Water-Washable flexographic plates to not only improve its sustainability position but to also improve the quality of its printing for its customers.

INX International Ink Co. has completed an investment in DetraPel, an advanced materials company that manufactures sustainable coatings. This represents the fourth deal closed since the $50M INX Venture Capital investment program was established in 2022.

Valmet will deliver an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) for the recovery boiler in Shandong Huatai Paper’s 700,000 tonnes chemical pulp project in Shandong province, China. The delivery is scheduled for January 2025.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the third quarter 2023. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
