WIN Automation EURASIA 2015: Turkey's hotspot for industrial sales

- Four key industry sectors at one location

- Bridge to new business in the Balkans, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa

Turkey is the hub of Southern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the former Soviet republics – a region that collectively houses 1.5 billion people and accounts for US$5 trillion of gross domestic product (GDP). Manufacturing is the country's primary growth driver, accounting for a quarter of GDP. Low corporate taxes, a young and educated workforce and growing consumer buying power helped attract $US51 billion of foreign direct investment between 2010 and 2013. WIN Automation EURASIA 2015, which runs 19–22 March at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, will spotlight current business opportunities at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

WIN Automation EURASIA is the umbrella for four trade fairs – Otomasyon EURASIA, Materials Handling EURASIA, Hydraulic & Pneumatic EURASIA, and Electrotech EURASIA – that cover industrial automation, materials handling and logistics, fluid power, and energy and electrotechnology, respectively. Exhibitors include such well-recognized names as ABB, Argo-Hytos, Beckhoff, Bonfiglioli, Bosch Rexroth, FESTO, KUKA, Phoenix Contact, Jungheinrich, Kita Logistics, SSI Schaefer, STAUBLI, and Trelleborg as well as small and medium-sized companies and national pavilions from Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and the U.S.

"Eurasia accounts for one third of the world's landmass and two thirds of its population. WIN provides our customers with direct access to this huge market," said Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe. "Participation figures illustrate WIN's appeal as a sales platform for global companies: Phoenix Contact and Freudenberg Sealing Technology have doubled their exhibition space; the European Power Transmission Distributors Association, PUMPPlaza and the Czech Republic are organizing first-time pavilions; the German Pavilion is sold out; and we have buyer delegations coming from Albania, Algeria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Iran, Jordan, Serbia, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Yemen."

Otomasyon EURASIA

Turkey wants to become one of the world's top 10 economies and top five machinery manufacturers within the coming decade. In order to do this, Turkish manufacturers must improve their quality standards while maintaining competitive pricing: a challenge that only advanced automation solutions can overcome. Otomasyon EURASIA presents the latest applications and solutions for industrial automation – including industrial IT and software, control systems and robotics – and spotlights sales opportunities in such growing sectors as automobile production, chemical processing, energy efficiency, food processing, mechanical engineering, and water and wastewater engineering.

Materials Handling EURASIA

Turkish logistics association LODER projects the Turkish logistics market could reach $US40 billion by 2017. In addition to rail-freight, coastal-freight and international-highway corridors, the country is building a network of logistics centers that will reduce costs by offering various transport modes between centers. Key display areas at Materials Handling EURASIA include materials handling, material flow and storage technologies as well as logistics. "Turkey could become a global logistics center for markets in Europe, the Near East, Central Asia and North Africa," says Jens Karolyi, Vice President Corporate Marketing and Member of Group Management at Swiss materials handling company Interoll. "We supply key products for conveying equipment, especially in the food processing and e-commerce sectors, so we exhibit at Materials Handling EURASIA to meet new customers in the region."

Hydraulic & Pneumatic EURASIA

Hydraulic & Pneumatic EURASIA provides a comprehensive overview of systems and components for oil hydraulics, water hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication and oils. For example, Germany's Freudenberg Sealing Technologies will use WIN to launch in Turkey its Freudenberg Xpress service, which produces machined seals as custom replacement parts, prototypes, or small production batches using original materials and profiles from Freudenberg production series. Advantages for the customer include a fast solution for urgent repairs, high-speed production and delivery, and reliability and security, all at the same level of quality and reliability provided in mass production.

Electrotech EURASIA

Government programs such as privatization of generation and distribution, establishment of an energy exchange for stable supply and demand, and a commitment to increase renewables' share of total installed power to 30 percent by 2023 make Turkey one of the world's fastest growing and most attractive energy markets, one in which total energy investments are expected to reach $US120 billion by 2023. Electrotech EURASIA showcases equipment and systems for electrical energy generation and power transmission and distribution as wells as accumulators, transformers and UPS.

WIN Automation EURASIA is organized by Hannover Messe Bilesim Fuarcilik A.S., Deutsche Messe's subsidiary in Turkey, and belongs to Deutsche Messe's HANNOVER MESSE Worldwide portfolio, which includes events in Brazil, China, India, Italy, and the United States. The 2014 event attracted 1,950 exhibiting companies and 77,200 visitors; the organizer expects similar participation figures in 2015.
