Ricoh earns BLI PaceSetter award for Healthcare in the Hospital Networks category for its strong services, technology portfolio

Keypoint Intelligence cites Ricoh's blend of traditional office technologies and innovative and specialized offerings to help solve healthcare's most pressing problems

Ricoh USA, Inc. has announced that Keypoint Intelligence Buyers Lab (BLI) has awarded Ricoh a 2019-2020 BLI PaceSetter award for Healthcare in the Hospital Networks category. Buyers Lab, the world's leading independent evaluator of document imaging software, hardware, and services, selected Ricoh as a winner in this category due to its wide-ranging offerings and expertise that empower hospital networks with secured, effective tools ranging from transformative secured communications solutions and back-end streamlining services, to traditional document imaging and innovative medical devices.

"In healthcare, security leads the conversation, and Ricoh has plenty to talk about. Not only do they have security protocols at the MFP covered, but they also provide services like RICOH Healthcare Direct to reduce dependency on fax and promote secure messaging, IT management and BPA design to improve care collaboration throughout the hospital," said Jamie Bsales, Director, Solutions Analysis, Keypoint Intelligence. "Ricoh is helping hospitals with big issues, like the ongoing mergers and acquisitions we see taking place, by focusing on enabling interoperability, unifying user experiences and building a cohesive brand, all contributing to the ability to provide a better patient experience."

Ricoh's award-winning lineup of healthcare solutions helps hospital systems transform the way they manage and secure information and help to deliver a better patient experience. At a time when medical errors contribute to tens of thousands of deaths each year in America,1 hospitals are eager to improve processes, driving down opportunity for error while increasing efficient collaboration for better patient and staff experiences. Ricoh facilitates this with what Keypoint Intelligence analysts refer to as "Ricoh's trove of intellectual property and services." This deep and broad portfolio empowers Ricoh to tailor solutions to providers' unique needs, developing and executing best practice-informed plans, from initial vision to final implementation and ongoing success.

This award is the latest in a number of milestones for Ricoh's work in the healthcare space. In addition to growing expertise within its consultancy arm, in the past two years alone, Ricoh has introduced a diverse array of groundbreaking offerings, including RICOH Healthcare Direct Services, RICOH Healthcare Administrative Solutions and the RICOH MEG brain scanner.

Healthcare Direct Services provides an interoperable, secure fax alternative for more reliable healthcare communications, helping to optimize patient and staff satisfaction by automating and digitizing communications.
Healthcare Administrative Solutions, meanwhile, unifies traditionally disparate aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle via one simple platform, addressing a problem that can create bottlenecks and impede patient care, pose challenges for physicians, and interfere with collections or reimbursement.
Ricoh's Magnetoencephalography (RICOH MEG) system provides mapping of brain activity by non-invasively measuring the magnetic fields produced by the brain, helping to improve neurological outcomes and reduce brain imaging analysis time.

Each of these, in very different ways, addresses real-world problems hospitals face, representing Ricoh's continuous growth and evolution in response to industry pain points.

"Ricoh is uniquely equipped to help hospitals overcome the hurdles associated with modern healthcare. Data is the healthcare industry's strongest asset and its biggest challenge," said Natalie Schubert, Vice President, Portfolio Marketing and Client Strategy, Ricoh USA, Inc. "Information management is an incredibly powerful tool for today's medical professionals, who are always looking for ways to work more efficiently toward better patient outcomes – while, of course, making their jobs a little easier to do, with less opportunity for error. At Ricoh, we aim to empower digital workplaces within the world of healthcare, whether that means providing hands-on IT management, implementing an improved workflow, or overhauling an entire system of communication. We are proud of our work in this space, and we are honored to have it recognized by Keypoint Intelligence and BLI."
