HP Advances Digital Teaching and Learning Experiences with New Chromebooks at BETT 2020

At BETT 2020, HP Inc. today announced new Chromebooks for students and teachers that are enhanced for learning and creativity, and built to stand up to tough handling wherever learning takes you.

There are 30 million students and educators worldwide using Chromebooks for learning today,1 and HP is the #1 Chromebook vendor in the world.2 The HP Chromebook 11 G8 Education Edition (EE), HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE, HP Chromebook 11 x360 G3 EE and HP Chromebook 14 G6 are simple, secure and shareable devices that enable schools and educators to empower the next generation with skills to master creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.

New Education Edition Chromebooks

HP Education Editions bring tailored learning solutions to every student and teacher. The new HP Education Edition Chromebooks are the world’s first Chromebooks with full-skirted anchored keys,3 delivering a new tier of pick-proof durability for classroom devices designed to be able to survive a fall off a desk,4 a splash from water5 or a tug on the power cord. Students can work continuously with a long battery life, and teachers can control and manage student interactions with HP Classroom Manager.6

The HP Chromebook 11 G8 EE and the HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE are the world’s thinnest 11” rugged Chromebooks for education,7 delivering both portability and durability for today’s students. Powered by Intel® or AMD™ processors, HP’s new Education Edition Chromebooks keep pace with active student lifestyles, while the fast-booting Chrome OS helps save valuable time.18,9 Built to withstand modern learning environments, both devices undergo a 76 cm drop test on concrete and 122 cm on wood,3 HP’s Total Test Process10 and MIL-STD 810G testing.11 The keyboards can resist spills of up to 350 ml (12 oz) of water,12 and can be repeatedly wiped with common household cleaning wipes for easy cleaning.13 Designed for engaging discussions, students can show and share Android™ and G Suite apps on an optional HD IPS anti-glare touchscreen.14 Lastly, students can collaborate remotely in real-time with a webcam and HP Extended Range Wireless LAN.15

The HP Chromebook x360 11 G3 EE is powered by Intel® processors and designed to adapt to any environment – from the classroom to the lab – allowing students to learn in interactive and personalized ways.16 With a 360° hinge, optional active HP Wacom EMR pen17 and dual cameras, students can type, touch, capture, write and draw in four user modes – stand, tent, tablet and notebook – making it easy to create, present and work together.

Redesigned large-screen Chromebook for teachers and students​

The HP Chromebook 14 G6 allows users to seize the day with the manageable, secure and intuitive Chrome OS running on Intel® processors.18 Users can expand their workspace with future-ready USB-C™ and HDMI, get more done with a long-running battery, and prevent remote camera hacking with the optional HP Privacy Camera. Teachers and students can be more efficient with a 14” diagonal screen, and up to 8 GB19 memory and 128 GB20,21 storage. Students can collaborate in the classroom with an optional narrow bezel, wide viewing angle IPS screen, wide-angle HD webcam and dual mics. The HP Chromebook 11 G8 EE is available now starting at $259.
The HP Chromebook 11A G8 EE is expected to be available in February. Pricing will be shared closer to availability.
The HP Chromebook 11 x360 G3 EE is available now starting at $299.
The HP Chromebook 14 G6 is available now starting at $289.
