Covid-19: Deutsche Messe postpones Halal Hannover and TWENTY2X

Halal Hannover and TWENTY2X - both of which are Deutsche Messe's own events scheduled for March 2020 - will be postponed to new dates.

The Hannover Region Health Authority has strongly advised Deutsche Messe AG to follow the advice of the Robert Koch Institute. These include comprehensive measures to safeguard health when organizing events.
These include fever measuring stations at all entrances, as well as the implementation of the measure not to admit participants from risk areas and to refuse access to events to participants who have had contact with people from risk areas. This would result in an extensive check of all participants.
Deutsche Messe is unable to implement these conditions at short notice. In addition, their implementation would have the effect that the smooth running of the events would be impaired to such an extent that the purpose of the event intended by the planned organization could not be achieved either for the exhibitors or for the visitors, or only with considerable restrictions.
The health of exhibitors, visitors, employees and the general public is a top priority for Deutsche Messe AG. Deutsche Messe has therefore decided to postpone TWENTY2X until 23 to 25 June. The date for the Halal Hannover is currently being determined in close coordination with the exhibitors and will be announced in due course.
