Precision Micro ramps up production of key fan components

As a key supplier to the medical device manufacturing industry, Precision Micro, as the market leader in photochemical etching, has now increased production of sensors and valve components for ventilators six-fold.

The company manufactures and supplies tens of thousands of respirator parts in a very short time, using specialized photochemical etching equipment. It produces precision parts for ventilator manufacturers throughout Europe who are currently working to combat COVID-19.
Mick Taylor, Managing Director of Precision Micro said: "Since the international response to the coronavirus outbreak escalated and national healthcare systems needed to rapidly increase their inventory of medical devices, many manufacturers have switched to the production of ventilators. As part of the supply chain, we too must prove that we can supply the necessary components quickly and reliably and meet the increased demand.
We are proud to contribute to the global effort and have aligned part of our production to deliver the necessary medical components that require a high level of expert precision manufacturing. As part of these critical supply chains, we want to make other manufacturers aware that we are committed to supporting them.
With the unprecedented demand for ventilators, Precision Micro's photochemical etching process has enabled us to quickly meet the growing demand and master the repeated production of precise and reliable components without compromise. As a long-standing supplier of components to the medical industry, Precision Micro is also certified to the internationally recognized standard for medical device manufacturers, ISO 13485:2016.
Precision Micro manufactures millions of precision etched products every year, ranging from safety-critical automotive parts to high-performance aerospace components. The company develops complex low stress, burr-free parts that meet the most demanding specifications.
