Successful start to HANNOVER MESSE Digital Days

With more than 10,000 registered participants and over 50,000 views, the first digital event at HANNOVER MESSE was a complete success. Around 200 speakers and 100 partner companies created two exciting days of inspiring lectures, live chats and innovation presentations. A total of 110 program items went online. All content is now available on demand at hannovermesse.digital and can still be accessed.

The HANNOVER MESSE Digital Days kicked off with a top-class panel discussion on "Forward to the New - New opportunities for progress? The "Who's Who" of the industry discussed with the German Minister of Economics, Peter Altmaier, the question of whether the pandemic watershed opens up a new window for shaping social and technological conditions. It became clear that the corona crisis is accelerating digitization in the industry and that it will be even more important in the future to adapt one's own business models in an agile manner.
This year, this also applied to HANNOVER MESSE itself, which had to be cancelled due to the corona pandemic, and now, with the Digital Days, made its virtual debut. "With the HANNOVER MESSE Digital Days, we have made history and impressively demonstrated that we can also organize digital events. This is an important step forward for us as a trade show in the direction of hybrid events. With our high level of trade show competence, digital know-how and content expertise, we are ideally equipped for a new start after the crisis," said Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG. "In the future, we will digitally extend the content of HANNOVER MESSE or use digital formats to pick up on individual trends or themes. The extensive content of the Digital Days will also remain available online for all those who were unable to attend the last two days live.
