After two years of abstinence, HANNOVER MESSE will finally return next year as a physical trade fair from 25 to 29 April - supplemented by a comprehensive range of digital services for exhibiting companies and visitors. The main theme Industrial Transformation focuses on the digitalisation and decarbonisation of industry.
"The past months have shown that digital formats cannot replace a real trade fair," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG. "In April 2022, innovations will once again be experienced on the full exhibition grounds and personal contacts will be the focus. Visitors from all over the world will meet solution providers for the automation and digitalisation of their production processes in Hannover. At the same time, we are placing climate protection in the focus of the fair. The exhibiting companies will show new technologies and services that significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of industrial companies."
In addition to the physical trade fair presence, comprehensive virtual services will be offered. "HANNOVER MESSE brings together the best of both worlds and adds innovative digital participation options to the range of services on offer. Exhibiting companies decide whether they want to participate physically, hybrid or purely digitally, thus leveraging the potential of additional leads and reach in the digital space," says Köckler.
The main theme of HANNOVER MESSE is Industrial Transformation. Köckler: "Industrial transformation is being driven significantly by two megatrends: the digitalisation of industry and the reduction of C02 emissions."
Digitalisation is about topics such as networking, data analytics, the Internet of Things, platforms, artificial intelligence and IT security. Those who want to survive in global competition must use the opportunities of digitalisation to develop, manufacture and distribute products faster and more efficiently. In Hannover, companies from the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical and plant engineering as well as software and IT will show how the automation and digitalisation of entire production and business processes can succeed.
The industry is responding responsibly and with innovative solutions to increasing global warming and the political and social debates surrounding climate protection. At HANNOVER MESSE, companies from the energy sector, among others, will present how industrial companies can significantly reduce their energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
