Zappar, the world’s leading augmented reality (AR) platform and creative studio, is announcing it’s second annual virtual conference, AR Pioneers 2022.
AR Pioneers Summit is set over two days on the 8th and 9th November and gathers some of the biggest thought leaders in the space to unpack the latest trends, technology and use cases.
The event taps into Zappar’s 11+ years of experience working with brands and agencies and has over 30 sessions from 22 speakers for AR creators, planners and hobbyists. The two days will cover networking, product launches, industry deep dives, technical demonstrations, and fireside chats giving you access to some of the biggest names and brightest minds in the industry.
Key announcements:
New Zapbox mixed reality headset
Zappar will be giving a behind-the-scenes look at the all-new Zapbox, the world’s first $80 smartphone-powered mixed reality headset. Zappar’s Chief R&D officer will be talking through all the latest updates to Zapbox, including the product roadmap and when developer access will be available.
New Zapvision Accessibility SDK & Unilever Brand Partnership
Zappar CEO, Caspar Thykier will be taking to brand partners at Unilever Sarah Masters and Mark Hewitt, about how new cutting-edge computer vision technology, Zapvision can be implemented at scale for CPG brands and the challenges in making AR experiences accessible to everyone.
Accessibility Innovation Lead, and Paralympian, Marc Powell from The Royal National Institute of Blind People will also be discussing their new partnership with Zappar and the challenges of creating XR content that’s accessible and how we can move to a more accessible future.
No-code / low-code AR announcements
New AR Web Embed product for Immersive Commerce: Join us for the release of Zappar’s new AR Web Embed product. ZapWorks Designer: The No-Code AR revolution ZapWorks Designer is a key part of Zappar’s mission to democratise augmented reality and get the technology and tools in as many hands as possible. At AR Pioneers we’ll be showcasing some of Designer’s new features as well as demonstrating new and exciting use cases for the current features.
Next-gen tooling and resources for developers
Developers have always been a crucial part of the Zappar community, and on Day 2, Zappar CTO, Connell Gauld will be giving an exclusive demo of Zappar’s next-gen tooling for developers. We’re keeping things under wraps for now, but we’re pretty excited about the possibilities and flexibility it will offer developers, agencies and brand owners to create more immersive WebAR experiences.
Alongside this, we’ll also have a whole host of developer workshops, including news on our new developer hackathon, Zappar: Ready, steady... code in partnership with DevPost.
