Engineer Powerwoman wanted - New: Young Engineering Award

For the eleventh time, Deutsche Messe is honouring a female expert from the MINT sector as part of the WomenPower 2023 career congress. This person should have set innovative accents in the technical environment of a company through her commitment, her ideas or her work. In addition, the Young Engineering Award will be announced for the first time. This award is given to a woman from the STEM field who is no more than 30 years old and has made extraordinary achievements in the technical field.

Both calls are open to all companies and institutions from Germany and abroad. Only one nomination per company is possible. The deadline for applications is 13 February 2023.
The award ceremony will take place on 21 April 2023 during the WomenPower Career Congress. Applications are free of charge. The Engineer Powerwoman 2023 and the nominees for the Young Engineering Award will be selected by an independent jury consisting of the members of the Congress Advisory Board. The jury will initially select three nominations from each of the submissions. From these, the award winners will be named and announced at the opening of the WomenPower career congress.
This year, Dr. Kamila Flidr was chosen as Engineer Powerwoman. She graduated in engineering from the Czech Technical University in Prague. She then earned her Master's degree at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. There she earned her doctorate in mechanical engineering and started her career at PSA Peugeot Citroën. In 2014, she moved to Germany and took over the technical support of a key customer at Altair. She co-founded Altair's new subsidiary in Eastern Europe and took up the position of Technical Account Manager on her return to Germany. Dr Flidr has made her mark in a male-dominated industry and has used this experience as an opportunity to champion the career advancement of women. Dr Flidr has been president of Altair's Women in Tech EMEA Employee Resource Group since January 2022.
The WomenPower career congress is one of the most successful networking and discussion events for women when it comes to diversity, career advancement, sustainability and new working environments. The congress is held annually as part of HANNOVER MESSE and is primarily aimed at participants from the STEM sector.
In addition to the programme of lectures, panel discussions and workshops, WomenPower offers companies, associations, networks, organisations and trainers the opportunity to find out about career prospects, studies, coaching and mentoring services and other labour policy topics and trends at the accompanying exhibition.
