SUPERHUB will be in Hannover @CEBIT2014

SUPERHUB is a Large-scale Integrating Project co-funded under EU ICT Call 7 - FP7-ICT-2011-7– Low carbon multi- modal mobility and freight transport.

Human mobility is changing from a "mono-modal" perspective to a multi-modal integrated one, able to answer to transport entities and population mobility needs by leveraging and combining several public and private mobility offers.

By 2014, after 3 years of R&D and large-scale trials in Barcelona, Helsinki and Milan, SUPERHUB project will unveil an Open Platform for mobility applications.

SUPERHUB supports real-time mobility offers from both public and private providers, offering a personalised system which remembers user's needs and preferences and employs motivational features to encourage eco-friendly transport choices.

Data generated via SUPERHUB will be utilised by policy makers to plan and improve urban mobility.

SUPERHUB with his technological framework offers an open sustainable social platform for networked mobility and socialization that also facilitate the take-up of grassroots-based initiatives from a community of citizens that will be monitored and ranked in the system and could be analyzed by decision makers in order to define new environmental, mobility and or even fiscal policies. This innovation is disruptive for Public Administrations and maybe the complexity and implementation time of technology projects that often exceed the capacity, incentives and permanence of government officials.

SUPERHUB with its partners (Exrade,Fondazione Legambiente Innovazione) will be present in CEBIT, Hall 6, Stand H28

What will exactly we show to visitors?

The demonstration will provide that SUPERHUB will be installed in several devices through which users could inquire for possible mobility options to reach a given destination at any given time. The back-end system will reply providing a rich set of possible options and recommendations making use of a number of mobility solutions (and combinations thereof) that includes use of own vehicle, public transportation, car - and bike-sharing services, car-pooling offers.

The event will be an opportunity to meet delegates of German cities to develop possible future collaborations. SUPERHUB will provide 100 invitations to major cities in Germany.
