TE Connectivity presents innovative solutions for the industry at SPS 2019

TE Connectivity (TE), a leading global supplier of connectivity technology and sensor solutions, will once again be exhibiting at this year's SPS, which will take place from 26 to 28 November in Nuremberg. The focus of the trade fair presence (Hall 10, Stand 440) will be on the company's expertise in four application areas: control cabinets, servo drives, servo motors and robotics.

Switch cabinet
GE's extensive product portfolio covers the specific requirements of industrial operator panels and offers industrial control solutions as part of a comprehensive system integration service. TE can also manufacture and assemble control panels in-house for larger industrial plants.

Servo drive
Today's digital technologies are the key to optimizing tomorrow's factories. However, the increasing degree of automation and decentralization of industrial manufacturing pose major challenges. Automation solutions must be profitable - through longer uptime, improved energy efficiency and lower costs. Next generation manufacturing continues to be the focus of technological development and network integration. Connectors and sensors manufactured by TE have long enabled more extensive networking, communication and innovation for digitization and factory automation. At the same time, they continue to lead the way in technological development.

Servomotor
Servo technology is already being used in many industrial sectors to increase productivity and cost efficiency. Further progress can be achieved through even faster and more precise feedback and control processes made possible by the interaction of servo motors and servo drives. Today, motors are becoming increasingly compact and offer more functions than ever before.
In view of the increased volume of data, it is essential to have reliable transmission connections at the highest possible speeds. If internal data and energy interfaces can be connected quickly, reliably and efficiently, productivity will increase and the company will grow.

Robotics
The range of robot applications is constantly expanding, making precise and reliable networking essential. TE's technological expertise, comprehensive cross-industry experience and innovative approach form the basis for the development of the company's precision robotics products. The broad portfolio of industrial solutions, from communication and power transmission to the connection of motors, which is supplemented by standard and customer-specific solutions for cable assemblies, meets the high requirements of robotics today and tomorrow.

"SPS 2019 provides an excellent forum for TE to offer advanced solutions that enhance the functionality of industrial data-driven applications," said Steffen Linder, Director of Sales for the EMEA region of TE's Industrial Business Unit. "We will show how TE's connection technology can transmit power, data and signals at all levels, in all environmental conditions and anywhere in the world.

Product Highlights
Product highlights include the recently introduced, robust M12 modules in X-coding that can be installed on site and the modular heavy-duty connectors with stamped and shaped contacts from the Dynamic series. TE will also talk about establishing this technology in the market with other suppliers of the Single-Pair Ethernet Industrial Partner Network.

The new X-coded M12 connectors enable installers and machine builders to establish a fault-free and tool-free Cat6A connection faster than with other standard data transmission solutions. With only two parts, TE's latest X-coded M12 connector is easy to install on site, with no parts to relocate or retrieve. The cable cores can be stripped to any length and can be connected for optimum performance using TE's patented lever technology combined with the automatic cutting function integrated into the connector. This unique, standardized and tool-free connector series allows users to attach a mounting strip to the cable and cable braid.

TE's Dynamic Series Heavy Duty connectors are specifically designed for industrial applications where high density signal and power connections are required. They ensure an uninterrupted electrical connection and minimize the possibility of failure due to vibration. The connectors can be assembled using both semi-automatic and fully automatic crimping processes, which increases the stability of the assembly process and the repeatability of the crimping.

In addition to the booth appearance, TE experts will give presentations at the SPS Speaker Forum. Mark Maas, TE's world leader in factory digitization, will present a case study on digital transformation. Daniel Walldorf, Business Development Manager at TE Business Unit Industrial, will talk about "Networking as the key to the digital factory". Mark Maas will give his lecture on 26 November at 10:20 a.m. in Hall 3-668, while Daniel Walldorf's lecture will take place on the same day at 4:40 p.m. in Hall 10.1 of the Forum.
