SGP Community Day "Where Sustainability Meets Print" announced for November 14 in Cincinnati Ohio

SGP Community Day team welcomes Liz Moyer to help print supply chain support a more sustainable future.

The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading authority in sustainable printing certifications for print manufacturers, announced its 2018 Community Day, "Where Sustainability Meets Print," will be held on November 14 at the Renaissance Hotel in Cincinnati, OH. The annual event connects leading printers with brands and print buyers all working together for a more sustainable supply chain.

"This year's SGP Community Day brings together the leading sustainable printers in North America along with their suppliers and Fortune 500 brands to discuss how to further improve sustainability performance in the printing industry," said Jodi Sawyer, chair, SGP Board of Directors. "Cincinnati is an ideal place for the event because there is a convergence of supply chain partners and leading brands in addition to Cincinnati being a national leader in sustainability. The Green Cincinnati Plan to advance the sustainability, equity, and resilience is a landmark of city sustainability planning."

In addition, SGP announces the appointment of Liz Moyer, as SGP Events Manager. Moyer has experience in sustainability and nonprofit organizations with conference planning, marketing and research. Notable is her work at the United Nations think tank, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network. "Working with SGP provides a good opportunity to continue my work with nonprofits and associations that are moving industries towards a greener, more sustainable future," said Moyer. "I look forward to making an impact and helping build an outstanding SGP Community Day in Cincinnati."

The conference will include presentations and discussions on the state of sustainability in the instore retail, packaging, textile and events market space. The day concludes with a gala dinner celebrating the 10th anniversary of SGP.
