In teamwork with its customers and partners, FOTOBODEN™ ensures a more sustainable trade fair business. The vinyl floors from visuals united AG, which were used on a large scale at BrandEX - International Festival of Brand Experience on 14 January and at BOE - Trade Fair for Experience Marketing at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre from 15 to 16 January, were recycled.

Silke Schulte opened doors when she initiated this joint campaign. The managing director of ESG Einkaufs- und Servicegesellschaft, a major exhibitor of BOE and FOTOBODEN partners, argues: "The trade fair business will never be 100 percent sustainable, but we should exploit the potential that exists".
The status quo: trade fairs are characterised by ever new, preferably surprising appearances. This is all the more true when events - such as BrandEX and BOE - have made brand experience and experience marketing their banner. It is no wonder that PHOTO FLOOR is at the feet of the visitors here, large and varied. At the same time, there is a lot of time pressure at trade fairs, and often only a few hours are available for dismantling the stands. So far, floor coverings have therefore often simply been disposed of.
But this does not do justice to the potential of PHOTOBOOD. After all, it is not only reusable, but also recyclable. For example, visuals united AG has now organised the return of its floor coverings - after all, just under two tons corresponding to 1,400 square metres of exhibition space - directly after the two event formats. These were brought to the plant of the AgPR Arbeitsgemeinschaft PVC-Bodenbelag Recycling in Troisdorf. Its managing director, Dr. Jochen Zimmermann, welcomes the initiative: "I hope that it will find many imitators who will supply us regularly, just like FOTOBODEN".
Among the PHOTOBODEN users who participated in the campaign is the BOE itself. Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group, sees this as a strategic development. She is pleased to set a good example for the German trade fair industry. The communication association FAMAB, which is behind BrandEX, sees it in a similar light: "Recyclable materials are kept in circulation. Thank you FOTOBODEN," say FAMAB Managing Director Jan Kalbfleisch and Gerd Wutzler, Sustainability Director. Other supporters include Markus GmbH, full-service provider for all aspects of floor coverings, the stand construction company NPG Germany, Deutscher Fachverlag and the Association of Event Organisers. They all contribute to making old PHOTO FLOOR new again. Because the cycle is indeed complete - FOTOBODEN uses recycled materials again.
