High-tech company sets up e-charging stations

Sustainability in medium-sized businesses: Schreiner Group supports e-mobility

Climate protection and sustainability have been a key issue for Schreiner Group for many years. In recent years, the high-tech company has succeeded, among other things, in reducing CO2 emissions by 65 percent and increasing the share of renewable energies to over 50 percent.

Now the family-owned company is taking another step towards a climate-neutral future. At the headquarters in Oberschleissheim, nine landing stations for e-vehicles have been installed and put into operation.
Schreiner Group has been generating solar power on its car park roofs for a long time. But now sustainable electricity can also flow directly into electromobility. At the beginning of this year, a total of nine charging columns for e-cars were installed on Schreiner Group's premises. Over the course of 2021, the proportion of electric vehicles in the company's own fleet will therefore also be increased.
But not only pool vehicles and company cars can be charged via the new stations. Visitors and employees will now also have the opportunity to refuel their electric vehicles. "I am very pleased that we can do even more for climate protection with the installation of the e-charging stations than we already have," explains Managing Director Roland Schreiner, "and I am convinced that we can also offer our employees another incentive to buy electric vehicles this way."
The biggest challenge in setting up the charging stations was the power supply for the charging columns. Since many of the stations for the electric vehicles are located in one of Schreiner Group's employee parking garages, a separate power supply line had to be laid for this purpose. However, with the support of the grid operator, this task was also mastered.
