Bringing a household robot to market with BigRep SPOT

Varomo UG, a German startup developing robotic aides for the home, used the BigRep SPOT worldwide large-scale 3D printing service to bring their prototype to life for end-user testing. The household robot ‘Carecules’ is designed to assist disabled people transport small objects around the house.

Markforged Metal X – the complete metal printing solution, available from September 2017

Markforged begins shipping its first Metal X printers from September 2017. The 3D printing system is and end-to-end manufacturing solution for fully functional metal parts comprising materials such as stainless steel, tools steel, aluminum, Inconel, and titanium.

MakerBot + Tinkercad equals seamless cloud-based 3D design and 3D printing

The new compatibility between MakerBot and Autodesk Tinkercad, a browser-based 3D design and modeling tool, provides a first-in-class connection between 3D design and 3D printing. Users can export models directly to My MakerBot without ever leaving their web browsers. This new connection brings two essential science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning tools together and empowers educators to easily equip students with critical design and problem-solving skills.

HP Showcases 3D Printing Momentum Across Europe With New Customers, Partners, and Reference and Experience Centers

Henkel to become first global reseller of HP Jet Fusion 3D printers; New customers including Danfoss Group, ETH Zurich, Jaguar-Land Rover, KTM, and The Manufacturing Technology Center to accelerate digital transformation of manufacturing

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY & ECONOMICAL: PHENOLIC RESIN BASED 3D PRINTING

This technology has already opened up a new possibility for the foundry industry, namely the fast and economic production of complex castings. Classic production processes show weaknesses or are reaching their limits. With 3D printing technology, whether for prototypes, individual parts or small series, seemingly impossible geometries can be produced quickly, precisely and cost-effectively. Speed and free design possibilities are the key features of this technology. In addition, the use of large-format 3D printing systems and a wide range of materials for many sectors opens up more and more new possibilities for use. In the meantime, the technology is being used in the automobile industry for engineering, the pump industry and aviation.

VOXELJET UNVEILS NEW 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

HIGH SPEED SINTERING PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF END-USE PARTS

voxeljet, the leading manufacturer of 3D printing systems for industrial applications, specialized on Powder-Binder-Jetting of plastic and sand, has announced the release of its High Speed Sintering (HSS) process for November 2017. The process was initially developed by Prof. Neil Hopkinson and is licensed to voxeljet from Evonik and Loughborough University. Combined with voxeljet’s binder-jetting expertise, the high speed sintering process has been further developed into a productive and precise technology.
