The vast majority of UK businesses view their packaging data collection capability as a “work in progress”, according to a new survey by environmental compliance data experts, Ecoveritas.
A staggering 86% of respondents are yet to establish their data collection processes fully, despite the strengthening of a statutory instrument (SI), titled Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (England) Regulations 2023, which mandates obligated producers in England to collect and report data on the amount and type of packaging placed on the market from this month.
Sustainability has been a megatrend for years also for cosmetics packaging. Manufacturers are more often using monomaterial that can be recycled, paper and renewable resources, often from waste products from agriculture and forestry, or from the food industry, for their packaging. Refillable solutions are being favourably received by customers, too, as they help to reduce the amount of waste.

The Nigerian agrofood & plastprintpack industry will meet again for the highlight of the year. Organised by the German trade show specialists fairtrade, the 8th edition of agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria takes place from 28 to 30 March 2023 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Victoria Island.
