ZHD-SCE Heat Shrink Sleeves from TE Connectivity Enable Safe and Flexible Identification for harsh environments

TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is highlighting its ZHD-SCE low fire hazard and fluid resistant heat shrink sleeves designed for harsh environments. These ZHD–SCE sleeves can be used in a wide variety of applications including rail, marine, motorsports and industrial that require the highest performance from an identification sleeve, without compromising on safety or capability. Identification print is guaranteed when using TE’s Wintotal software in conjunction with the recommended ribbon and thermal transfer printers.

“The ZHD SCE provides true limited fire hazard and chemical resistance properties combined within 1 heat shrink sleeve, said Philippe Contri, TE product manager. “Through decades of product engineering, customers can have a limited fire hazard identification sleeve without compromising on performance”

Being zero halogen and diesel resistant, ZHD-SCE bridges the gap between D-SCE marker sleeves and HX-SCE marker sleeves. TE’s ZHD-SCE identification solution ensures flexibility in use due to easy printing and kitting.

TE’s ZHD-SCE sleeves features and benefits include:

Thermal transfer printable
Zero halogen
Diesel resistant
Resistant to key rail and industrial fluids including diesel (defined by RW-2536)
Low toxic fumes
Non-flame propagating
Shrink ratio 2:1
EN45545-2 R22 HL2

ZHD SCE sleeves are fully free of substances of very high concern (SVHC), in line with TE’s compliance with the European Community’s REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) legislation.
