Ricoh has maintained its leadership position in Managed Print Services

Ricoh has maintained its leadership position in Managed Print Services (MPS) for the eighth consecutive year, according to a new report from Quocirca analysts.

According to the Quocirca report "Managed Print Services Landscape 2019"*, Ricoh holds a leading position in the MPS category, largely due to the company's multi-channel strategy and global reach. Ricoh has repositioned itself as a global technology and services provider to meet the changing needs of the modern workplace and has expanded its offering beyond the traditional MPS business. The report goes on to say that "Ricoh's global reach and large service organisation puts it in a strong position to serve large organisations and companies operating in multiple countries and regions.

Managed Print Services are part of Ricoh's Managed Document Services (MDS) offering and solution concept. Ricoh works with its customers to adapt and optimise information processes to increase efficiency while maintaining information security.

Louella Fernandes, Research Director, Quocirca, says: "Ricoh has a broad service portfolio combined with strong references in both office and production printing. The ability to incorporate third-party systems into the MDS design phase using tools such as the Environmental Sustainability Tool, as well as providing technical support for multiple vendors, makes Ricoh a good choice for companies looking for a single vendor for a range of business process solutions and IT services. The company has continued to launch platforms that integrate advanced analytics and workflow capabilities to support the new digital workplace, and is targeting single-digit growth in the cloud, security and analytics of MPS projects".

The report also recognises Ricoh's expertise in serving small and medium-sized businesses, thanks in part to its extensive channel network and Ricoh's WorkPlace+ service.

Fernandes adds: "Ricoh's established Managed Document Services are based on a global, standardised service model that provides a holistic approach to customer service. Harmonisation at a global level has been a key pillar of the company's business in recent years. However, Ricoh has remained flexible through its approach, which allows each region to develop service solutions tailored to the specific needs of the local market".

David Mills, CEO, Ricoh Europe, said: "Being recognised by Quocirca as a leader in managed print services for the eighth consecutive year is not only a compliment but also proof of our customer focus. Providing a reliable, flexible and secure service to customers is the foundation of our support for the digital workplace. We look forward to helping new and existing customers get started with digitalization.
