Yaseen Merchant, Founder and Managing Director Signtrade"We are very happy that with Signtrade we have signed up such a renowned and knowledgeable distributor for our full portfolio of large format printers", states Adriano Gut from swissQprint. "All our machines are unique – custom-built in Switzerland to match their users' requirements and they can accommodate heavy media up to 400 kg. Freely configurable colour channels are one point of individuality. Another is to extend the flatbed base with a variety of functional options if needed – either when ordering or at any time later. This fits very well with Signtrade's vision to exceed the expectations of all clients by offering innovative and quality products as well as 24 hr service for their customers."
The range of large format digital print systems from swissQprint encompasses a host of different solutions for flatbed UV printing in different widths and speeds. Among them, the Oryx UV flatbed printer enabling prints with a resolution of up to 2160 dpi. The intelligent control unit of the flatbed printer steers the print head with micrometre precision and uses sophisticated algorithms for placing individual droplets of ink. Full bleed printing is possible on Oryx without further ado. And should the printing table catch some ink in the process, that is no reason for concern. A scraper and a few drops of alcohol are all it takes to get the anodised surface of the printing table clean in a jiffy, getting the digital flatbed printing system ready for the next job.
The Nyala, a large format printer with a large bed measuring 3.2 x 1.6 meters can be equipped with a roll-to-roll option enabling printing of mesh, banner, vinyl and similar materials precisely. For oversized rigid media a board option is available, expanding the table to 3.2 x 4m. In addition to CMYK, different colour options such as white and varnish among others, are available. High productivity can be achieved with the Nyala 2 printer featuring a flatbed size of 3.2 x 2m and print speed up to 206sqm/h. Equipped with the latest print head technology it also features a unique register pin system for optimal utilization. Like the Nyala, the Nyala 2 is equipped with tandem functionality thus enabling non-stop printing.
The Impala, a universal and modular UV printer is also expandable as required and its four CMYK channels can be expanded by up to five additional ink channels including varnish, Primer, white and different ink sets. It can now be equipped with the latest print head technology producing up to 180 sqm/h. This enables precise printing in highest quality. Optional a board option is available that enabled printing of rigid substrates of up to 2.5 x 4 m. In addition, the Impala features a roll-to-roll option as well as up to nine colour channels.
Visitors to SGI can see the complete feature packed machine Nyala 2 the high end product from swissQprint at Signtrade's booth in January 2015.
