Mission Complete: BigRep CEO Dr. Stephan Beyer Switching to Advisory Function

German 3D printer manufacturer BigRep launches next phase of its business development.

BigRep, the manufacturer of the world’s largest serial 3D printers and solutions for Additive Manufacturing, has launched its next phase of the company’s business development. Its CEO, Dr. Stephan Beyer, will move from management to serve in a new, consulting function. After four years of dynamic expansion, based on new generation printers and the successful positioning in world markets, Stephan Beyer has accomplished his mission for the Berlin-based company.

Dr. Beyer’s duties will be taken over by the current management team of Co-General Manager Martin Back, Daniel Büning (CIO), Frank Marangell (CBO) and Stefan Kaufmann (Head of R&D). This latest management change marks the next phase of the company’s business development from a dynamic start-up to a well-established industrial manufacturer of large-format 3D printers.

“We would like to thank Stephan Beyer for his successful work and are looking forward to his support of the company by using his know-how and network”, said Dr. Christian Reitberger, Chairman of the BigRep Advisory Board.

Dr. Stephan Beyer succeeded in developing BigRep, headquartered in Berlin, to become an innovative company with currently 90 employees, and branches in Boston and Singapore. In addition, he successfully attracted top-level investors and industry partners such as Bosch Rexroth, Etihad Airways and FORD to join the BigRep network. Furthermore, thanks to the development of groundbreaking prototypes such as NERA, the world’s first fully 3D-printed electric motorbike, BigRep was established internationally as an innovation leader.

“I’m proud that we have advanced digital production, based on our reliable technology, to the benefit of our customers, while also establishing BigRep as a visionary thought-leader in Additive Manufacturing. This would not have been possible without the incredible commitment and the excellent skills of our employees. That’s why I would like to thank them in particular for the many years of good and trustful teamwork”, said Dr. Stephan Beyer.
