DGShape announces next generation LD-300 Laser Decorator launch

DGSHAPE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Roland DG, announces the launch of the LD-300 Laser Decorator. DGSHAPE is a leading supplier of digital manufacturing equipment such as 3D milling machines, 3D printers and engraving machines.

Hiroshi Oe, Global Product Manager for 3D Products at DGSHAPE, said: "The LD-300 represents the next generation of DGSHAPE Laser Decorator technology. Its even more comprehensive and robust platform enables all applications of the already revolutionary LD-80 Laser Decorator. In addition, it offers you the possibility to decorate even larger articles with this process. We are very proud that the LD-300 can even hot stamp leather directly".
The LD-300 Laser Decorator is suitable for much more than just foil decoration of soft plastics. It is able to emboss larger three-dimensional objects as well as leather directly. The unique construction of the LD-300 makes it possible to personalize small and large objects without compromising quality. The working area of the LD-300 is approx. 305 mm x 230 mm and can accommodate objects up to 50 mm thick. For even larger objects up to 200 mm, such as handbags and product packaging, the working bed can be removed. The LD-300 can create stunning graphics and crisp text with the included METAZA Studio software.
Hiroshi Oe continues: "The LD-300 is a Class 1 laser device. With its shielded front cover and fully enclosed frame, it is perfect for retail environments where security is a top priority. Unlike laser engraving technologies, which tend to singe the surface of leather during processing, the LD-300 requires no ventilation and leaves no residue during the marking process. Setup is simple and intuitive. And the LD-300's easy-to-use software features give you complete control over the entire workflow when decorating."
The LD-300 will be launched in selected markets: Japan and Australia in early December, USA and Europe in the first quarter of 2020. A broad launch is expected in the second quarter of 2020.
