JPB Système signs five-year partnership extension with ITP Aero

Contract secures JPB Système as the exclusive supplier of cutting-edge self-locking fittings to leading aeronautical engine manufacturer

France-based, JPB Système, the leading manufacturer of self-locking devices for the aerospace and aeronautic industry, today announces that it has signed a new five-year partnership agreement with Spanish aeronautical engine manufacturer, ITP Aero, part of the Rolls-Royce Group. The agreement will see JPB Système exclusively supply ITP Aero with its cutting-edge self-locking LULYLOK™ fittings for single-aisle aircraft application programmes.

Patented by JPB Système in 2015, LULYLOK is an advanced B-nut for fittings uniquely featuring a self-locking device that ensures sealing of pipes, preventing loosening and leakage caused by severe vibration and extreme thermal conditions. Importantly, as a lock-wireless solution, LULYLOK eradicates the need for a lockwire or safety cable to secure the threaded parts within the engine. This enables aerospace engine manufacturers to safely and cost-effectively seal fluid and gas connections more easily. For airline companies, this results in improved maintenance time-savings and supports higher-level safety assurance.

“Having had the chance to establish a close and successful relationship with ITP Aero over the last five years, we are delighted to extend our partnership with the company,” says Damien Marc, CEO of JPB Système. “Looking ahead, we are committed to strengthening this alliance by reinforcing production capacities to meet ITP’s increasing demands and ensure their supply chain efficiencies are upheld.”

Commenting on the partnership agreement, Javier Maurolagoitia, Head of External Purchasing & Supply Chain at ITP Aero, adds, “ITP Aero has extended the current collaboration with JPB Système based on its product service level, as well as on the general success of our relationship. The self-locking fittings developed by JPB Système have enabled us to enhance the quality of our engines, which delivers a genuine impact in performance for our customers.”

Renowned as an innovator, JPB Système owns seven internationally-patented technologies for self-locking solutions, underscoring the company’s innovation and commitment to addressing its customers specific requirements. This has seen JPB Système build close partnerships with some of the foremost players in the aerospace and aeronautic manufacturing industry. The company was also one of the first in France to establish and run an Industry 4.0 production process.
