Ricoh Europe and Alzheimer's Research UK announce relaunch of the digital postcard tool "Printed Memories

All proceeds go to Alzheimer's Research UK dementia research

Ricoh today announced the relaunch of its popular "Printed Memories" website in collaboration with Alzheimer's Research UK. With the new, mobile-enabled portal, users can now send personalised postcards to family and friends across Europe even faster and easier.
More than one million older people say they have no contact with friends, neighbours or family members, sometimes for up to a month [1]. Isolation has been shown to increase the risk of physical and mental health problems. Due to the current initial restrictions in the fight against COVID-19, the isolation of many older people continues to increase. In these uncertain times, Ricoh's Printed Memories programme offers a way to connect with loved ones from a distance.
The revised Printed Memories website allows users to send postcards across Europe directly from their smartphone or tablet. The portal is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian and Polish.
Sending a postcard is very easy: users upload the desired picture on the website and add a personal message. After payment, the postcard is then sent by post directly to the recipient. Each postcard costs £1, with all proceeds going to Alzheimer's Research UK and its research into treatments for Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
David Mills, CEO of Ricoh Europe, said: "We are very proud to be working with Alzheimer's Research UK to relaunch the Printed Memories website. The portal provides a simple and effective way to stay connected even in difficult times. Anyone can use this service to send a personalised postcard to family and friends. At the same time, every postcard sent supports Alzheimer's Research UK in its valuable work".
Ian Wilson, Managing Director of Alzheimer's Research UK, adds: "Now more than ever it is important to stay in touch with our loved ones, so we are delighted that Ricoh has resumed the Printed Memories programme. Not only does this fantastic programme enable people to reach out to their friends and family, every postcard sent also supports Alzheimer's Research UK's dementia research. Thanks to the support of Ricoh and all users of the postcard tool, we will be one step closer to a breakthrough in dementia research".
