Displaydata, formerly ZBD, today unveils a new product set, the Dynamic Solution Suite, introducing next generation, fully graphic electronic shelf-edge labels (ESL) at the National Retail Federation Big Show (NRF). The new range - consisting of three display families: Aura, Chroma and Luna – will enable retailers to select the most appropriate and cost-effective digital display solution for their business.

2014 is set to be a breakthrough year for consumers and how they behave with in-store retail technology. In particular, the ESL Bluetooth beacon – an integral new feature from Displaydata - allows retailers to deliver rich content that enhances the customer experience. It allows retailers to push promotions and individualised messaging out to consumers based on their buying behaviour (when combined with a loyalty scheme), helping retailers to influence consumer behaviour at the shelf-edge and informing buying decisions.

Product summary:

Chroma

The Chroma is the first three-colour display range, giving retailers the chance to choose between Red, Black and White. Chroma displays can be used to promote logos and allow retailers to present enhanced promotional data at the shelf-edge. Displaydata's electrophoretic display technology provides a clear, engaging, visual experience with replaceable batteries for longer shelf-life.

Aura

Aura is a two-colour display range, allowing retailers to display black on paper-white using the latest electrophoretic display technology. The Aura range also offers a 180⁰ viewing angle, with replaceable batteries for longer shelf-life.

Luna

Following the success of Displaydata's Epop range, Luna offers retailers the most affordable fully graphic ESL on the market, with improved white state and a wider viewing angle. Similar to the Aura and Chroma family of displays the Luna is powered by replaceable batteries for longer shelf-life.

Dynamic Communicator

As well as introducing the next generation of graphic display labels, Displaydata will also be showcasing its new Dynamic Communicator which, no matter the size of retail estate, provides the single infrastructure required to manage in-store displays centrally. One Dynamic Communicator can cover an area of 50,000sq ft. and 65,000 ESLs and provides true two-way communication, reducing the time needed for store pricing updates from days or weeks, to a matter of minutes.

The Dynamic Solution Suite also allows retailers to analyse system status and performance across all stores in real-time and is the only solution that ensures 100% price accuracy is possible at all times.

Andrew Dark, Chief Executive Officer, Displaydata, said: "Having evolved our business, products and software, we now have a complete solution that will enable the widespread adoption of shelf-edge displays across retailers of all shapes and sizes and revolutionise the customer experience at the point where it matters most. As well as helping retailers to fully engage customers at the shelf-edge, our next generation products and infrastructure allow retailers to adopt agile pricing strategies and instantly change prices across their stores to offer promotions depending on the time of day, the season or the locality."

Displaydata will be exhibiting in Hall 3A, Stand No. 4231.
