The trade fair trio consisting of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom planned for 12 to 14 January 2021 in Düsseldorf has been postponed to 18 to 20 May 2021 due to current and unclear further developments surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic. This decision is linked to the confidence that the trade fairs will then be held in the context of a stabilising pandemic situation.
"The measures taken by the Federal Government and the Länder since the beginning of November show how dynamic the developments around COVID-19 are. The pandemic situation throughout Europe makes medium-term planning security for all areas of economic life difficult - also with regard to the successful implementation of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom. We have therefore decided to postpone the fairs in close consultation with our exhibitors and partners," says Michael Freter, Managing Director of the organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH.
"Together with the promotional products, textile and finishing industries we had long hoped to open a new, long-awaited business year in January. It was to be a great reunion after a challenging period. Unfortunately, this hope has now not been fulfilled", regrets Michael Freter. "Our top priority as organisers is to ensure the greatest possible safety and health for exhibitors and visitors, as well as the business successes they expect from their participation in the fair. We are certain that the postponement of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom next May will provide the industries with the best possible conditions for a successful event, so that we can provide the urgently needed impetus for a new start as soon as the crisis subsides," Freter continues.
In addition to the presence events, the planned online formats will also be postponed to the new date in May 2021.
