Yesterday evening, a sustainable POS solution from Thimm was awarded the silver display Superstar Award 2021: The all-in-one packaging for the Duderstadt Gin Manufaktur. The award ceremony took place at a gala in "The Squaire" Conference Center in Frankfurt am Main.
The established display Superstar Award has been presented annually for 27 years to displays and packaging that have been successfully placed at the point of sale. This year, the independent jury of marketing and product managers, decision-makers from trade and industry, product designers, engineers and brand designers evaluated the solutions submitted in nine categories. In order to present all exhibits to trade visitors, they have been on display at "The Squaire" at Frankfurt Airport since 27 October. Thimm received the coveted trophy for the sustainable all-in-one packaging of the Duderstadt Gin Manufaktur at the "display Superstar Night" awards gala last night.
The all-in-one packaging made of sustainable corrugated cardboard is used simultaneously as retail and shipping packaging, gift boxes and counter displays by the manufactory. Each set contains a bottle of "Glücksfall No. 1" gin, a dry gin glass, a measuring cup and two coasters. When opened, the wooden look of the packaging is reminiscent of an apothecary's cabinet and forms a visual unit with the bottle in the medicine design. The products are placed in a protective inlay made of corrugated cardboard, which optimally presents the brand and the products through a filigree, laser-cut engraving. The all-in-one packaging won the silver award in the "Packaging" category.
